Camp Kesem operates free summer camps for children who have been impacted by a parent's cancer. Thank you for registering for camp with us!

• Kesem chapters run the summer camps. A chapter is a division of our Camp Kesem National program. We have over 100 chapters that are based out of colleges or universities, and the camp counselors come from that school.

• When applying for camp, you can search by Kesem chapter or by state (Rice University in Texas).

• Apply soon to secure a spot.

• Health insurance is not required to participate in Camp Kesem. However, if you have insurance, we will ask for that information during the application process.

• The application does not need be filled out in one sitting - you can save your progress and come back later. Simply click on “Save Progress” in the top right corner of the camper application. You will be instructed to provide an email and password. This can be the same as your login to Kesem Central. To resume progress, login, click on the “My Applications” tab, and follow the link to continue the application using the email and password created previously. Please remember this login - it will allow you to upload your health forms and any other documentation later.

• There is a single application for all participants (“campers” are ages 6-14 and “Leaders in Training” are ages 14-18).

• Our camp dates are July 21-26 at a campsite called Forest Glen here in Texas--free transportation is provided from Houston to the campsite.

• The application asks for the child’s current (2018-2019 school year) grade level.

• Go to kesem.force.com/login

• Click “Sign Up” in the bottom right corner.

• Fill out YOUR information (not your camper’s information), and make sure you’ve selected “Camper Family” for “Select Registration Type.”

• Once you’ve entered your information and signed up, it will direct you back to the Home page. Scroll down and click “Add Family Member.”

• Add all of your campers and any other parents or guardians here.

• Once your family is complete, go to the “Pick a Camp” tab.

  • Select Rice as your chapter from the location drop down list.

• Select which camp session you want to sign up for. It will either say “Register” (if there are currently open spots) or “Waitlist” (if there are not)

  • If there are not open spots, we highly recommend that you register for the waitlist. We often can accommodate these children.

• From there you can select who to sign up for camp and begin the application. You will have to go through this process for each camper you are registering.

• Once you’ve completed the application(s), you can view the status on the “My Applications” tab. You will also receive a confirmation email that your registration(s) have been received.
